Grottoes of North America's Humanitarian Foundation

The Enchanted Lantern is the symbol of the Grottoes of North America's Humanitarian Foundation. A Beacon of Hope and "Aid for the Cerebral Palsy Child". This Charitable program was started in 1951 by the Grotto Supreme Council and funded largely by member donations. In 1957 the first annual $25,000 contribution was made to United Cerebral Palsy research. These donations are still made today.


The Enchanted Lantern

The Grotto Program of the Dentistry for the Handicapped was established in 1969. It began a dental clinic for the handicapped who were under 18 years of age at Illinois Masonic Medical Center. Today the Grotto extends this treatment for handicapped children across North America at no charge.

The Grotto's Humanitarian Foundation began with $65 in 1951 today more  than $18,000,000 has been gathered to help Handicapped kids.
