ABACA Grotto of the Mystic Order of Veiled Prophets of the Enchanted Realm was formed in 1933 by Edward H. Cann. There were 125 founding members, who helped The Fredericksburg Rescue Squad purchase its first vehicle called the "Green Hornet".

 For many years, one of its great fund raisers for was running the concession stand at the Fredericksburg Agricultural Fair. Funds are raised for our Dr. Smiles program, cerebral palsy, cancer research, dentistry for the handicapped, and other charities.

*There are only two Grottoes in Virginia, ABACA (Fredericksburg), and SAMIS (Richmond)*
